Sheltering in Yeshua

Sheltering in Yeshua

We are living in strange times as we all do our part to help slow the spread of COVID-19. For the first time in Jews for Jesus history, we have cancelled our Christ in the Passover tours and are offering virtual livestream presentations instead. We will record some of those presentations so that you and all of our partners will have an opportunity to see them at some future point.

My April newsletter article is about Passover. I wrote it before the pandemic, but the theme of redemption is so very relevant to the current situation. Thank God, He has set us free from the bondage of sin, but we have also been given perfect love that casts out fear. Jesus took on Himself the worst plague of all so that we can live with Him eternally. So, we have an incredible message of hope and freedom from fear.

I am so grateful for how our teams around the world are handling this, and I want to encourage you that ministry is continuing during this time of “social distancing.” Chaim Birnbaum, who leads our young adult ministry in Tel Aviv decided to livestream an event for the youth. He was leading worship “remotely,” playing guitar, and singing at our Moishe Rosen Center, when two Israelis walked in off the street. They sat and listened, and afterwards, they had an amazing conversation with Chaim about what they were feeling as he sang. He explained the hope that we have in Yeshua. Things like this are happening throughout our ministry. Please keep us in prayer, as we are also praying for you, our partners.

If you aren’t already, I’d encourage you to pay special attention to the Psalms during this time. I’ll leave you with this:

Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For You have been a shelter for me,
A strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah

(Psalm 61:1–4)

God bless you as you shelter in Yeshua,
